A Legend Has Passed

Updated: 6 days ago

(Updated: December, 2024)

Open letter, to my son, Tintin.

An extraordinary, legendary,

a wonder, a miracle, a forest elf,

one of a kind, unique, special,

a true angel on earth, an inspiration,

a beacon of light, of pure innocence,

joy and vibrant, radiant love.

He was there,

on your screens, all over the world,

for all to see, for all to feel.

A true legend, has passed on.

Tintin was someone special, to us all.

But to me, Paps, he was that and so,

so more than that.

Tintin,

you were my little red furry son,

my 3rd child and you were my life saver.

I might have saved your life once but,

you saved my life many more times.

You have saved my life,

more times than I can count.

You kept me alive,

when I didn't want to go on anymore.

You brought me through,

some of the toughest times and trials

of my entire life.

You were there,

you were always there for me,

you never left me,

you never abandoned me,

until now...

I will continue your legacy,

rescuing, helping and

nursing other squirrels, so they too,

can have a fair chance at life,

just like you.

In the meantime,

I hope you're having lots fun

with Mamma Coco, Tiger and Miss Marble.

As well as the many squirrels we,

you and I, have helped throughout the years.

Don't make to much trouble until I get there.

And I hope,

you're getting lots of cuddles

with big sister Nicole.

Tell em' all that I said hi.

I miss you all so terribly much

and I can't wait to see you all again.

Fly high, shine bright my son,

my best friend, my angel,

my pride and my joy...

  • To Tintin's Fans:

I must say, thank you all,

every single one of you for the massive amount of support.

Although I don't reply or like every single comment and/or message,

I do read the vast majority of them.

Across all 3 platforms, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube,

we are close to a quarter of a million people,

that's almost 250.000 people in this community,

from all corners of the world, every religion and culture,

setting aside our differences, for one little red squirrel.

Although some of the messages are gut wrenching,

they really do help me.

Like family members, both old and young, following from their hospital beds,

some lost, some are still with us, tuning in every day,

just to catch a glimpse of Tintin's innocence, energy,

his joy, his love of life and his angelic light. This was Tintin's mission,

the spread joy, love and light, in this ever dimming world.

To bring people together, despite their differences, despite their looks, despite their beliefs,

despite their political views and despite their skin color.

Tintin's light and love knows no boundaries, no discrimination, no judgement, no limits and it's never finite.

May his star in the glittering nights sky, forever shine down upon us,

guide us, comfort us and fill us with joy, love and light.

A wonderful tribute to a one in a million squirrel who amazingly somehow found his human soul mate amongst all the people in thecworld, and shared their lives to us. The universe/God/spirit made it possible for both of you to have found that connection and deep love at exactly the right time, and the right place with totally the right human father/mate, you Decan, and mother Coco and Miss Marple and Tigger, and we are all so very lucky to have shared in your lives. I'm so sorry, it must be so hard for you with all the losses you have gone through, we truly appreciate you sharing your lives with us. Your amazing knowledge of squirrels, and lov…
